Fees 2008: $38.00 per day Welcome to St. Stephen’s Pre-School St. Stephen’s Pre-School was established in May 1972 by St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Normanhurst as an outreach service to the community. Since then the Pre-School has played an integral role in the Normanhurst community both providing quality care and education for 3-5 year olds but also a support for families. The Pre-School is a non-profit making Incorporated association that is licensed by the; NSW Department of Community Services, Children, Care and Protection Act 1987. We receive our income from two main sources: 1. State Government Subsidy which meets approximately 25% of our yearly operational cost. 2. Fees making up the other 75% of our necessary income. Throughout the year we have fundraising events that help us to maintain our equipment and resources. The Pre-School management is such that the Director is responsible for the overall management of the centre including the children’s programme, staff, finances, purchasing etc; with the support of a committee of eight. The committee membership is made up of Parish members of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church Normanhurst and parents of the Pre-School who are elected at the AGM which is held in February each year.
